Aid is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis and students are urged to file their FAFSA as soon as possible to ensure they receive the most aid they are eligible to receive.
FAFSAs may be completed prior to filing taxes by choosing "Will File" on the FAFSA and inputting estimated income information. Once taxes are complete, you would then be required to log back into FAFSA and update the information. We strongly suggest using the IRS Data Transfer option in FAFSA to upload your tax information.
Returning students should be aware that they will not be awarded any aid until their file is complete, regardless of the date they file their FAFSA. Please check your "To Do" list on Navigator frequently to be sure that we do not need additional information.
Financial aid is awarded on a funds-available basis, and the potential to miss out on certain funding is a reality as the award process progresses through the spring.
